Olivia Ladd is a freelance music journalist working as a writer, photographer and producer in Nashville, Tennessee. She specializes in country, Americana and local Nashville music but, working with a strong background knowledge of music history, keeps tabs on an array of genres— everything from new wave to noise to current indie. She particularly enjoys coffee, DIY shows, sentimental Neil Young songs and reading.
Olivia currently hosts the Bandsplainer podcast and writes for The Boot and Nashville Scene. She just wrapped up work as a producer on the Building Nashville podcast about country music history for WSM 650 and dabbles in both analog and digital photography.
She was formerly a writer for Wide Open Country, the writer and producer of weekly radio show WSM Playlist, publicity intern for Warner Music Nashville, editorial intern for Parade Magazine, a music news writer at WMOT 89.5 Roots Radio, Lifestyles Editor at MTSU Sidelines, writer and photographer at No Country for New Nashville, on-air host at WMTS 88.3 and a house photographer at Mercy Lounge. She has also written for The Tennessean, Associated Press, Native, Luck Journal, Studio M, Inoxia Mag and others.
Olivia is available for work as an editor writer, photographer or audio producer for radio and podcasts, for social media management and DIY publicity, and to write artist bios.
